Phil Camp
A "musicians musician" Long time giutar playin' Queensbury icon Phil Camp can cover all bases. Thirty plus years of regular gigging has honed Phil's technique to a unique mix of looping, soloing, and singing. A tasty mix of Classics, new and old, and few delicious origional compositions make his set list a pleasure to the ears.
It all started in the early late 1980's with a traveling band called "Panache" Phil then moved on in the 90's with Glens Falls favorite dance band "Dr. Gators Medicine show" The new millilenium brought "The Joe Mama Band" where Phil and his bandmates recorded two origional CDs. Their original music enabeled JMB to appear on Glens Falls local music TV show "8 trax" twice. There were also many apperarances on WEQX EXPosure, a NPR regional compilation CD, Radiougly interviews, and the Community Cafe music hour radio show.
For the last 5 or so years, Phil has been concentrating on his solo career. A full calander and a few studio stops have kept Phil busy. 2011 brought the release of "Evolution" his first solo CD effort. With time on stage, and in the studio, Phil's guitar playing skills are not to be missed. Please contact via email philcamprc@gmail.com , facebook, or call 518-955-2097 for availability of dates.

Green Pepper Air Freshener
By Ronda Johannessen (the Chronograph)
What a refuge and journey I am having as the Joe Mama Band takes me home. They are a down home band. They are probably an over-experienced bar band. They are tight, very tight. These are top-notch musicians. They are really too good to be a bar-band (not really, if you've spent time in Austin) It just makes me proud upstate (Queensbury) produces! .............................. READ MORE HERE

Two things are immediately obvious when first hearing JMB’s "Green Pepper Air Freshener": 1) I challenge anyone to come up with a better band name than that. Seriously, I’ll owe you a couple dirt dogs. Secondly, the lineup of Phil Camp, Jeff Britton, Mark Orlosky, and Marty Montena are tight as anything and showcase some serious chops................................................................READ MORE HERE

I stopped into the new Fort Ann hot spot Frosty's Steak-Out (formally Rick and Carol's) on Super Bowl eve to catch a set from the Joe Mama Band. I had some fun creating a makeshift, snowbank parking spot since the parking lot was full, a good sign for the new establishment. Once inside, it wasn't too hard to pick out singer/guitarist Phil Camp, proudly decked out in Chicago Bares garb (and I'm writing this in the aftermath Sunday night..so, sorry, Phil!)...READ MORE HERE

Phil Camp's music has been evolving since the second grade. When asked what he wanted for Christmas that year, he pointed out a guitar in the Sears' Wishbook and his path from that moment was laid out. He took group guitar lessons with Lucille Tasker which allowed him to work at his own pace. Then, .. READ MORE HERE ...............................................................
